Naoufal Amrani has received a mobility grant from the Autonomous
University of Barcelona that covers a three months visit to our group

in Computer Vision for their paper

On November 1, 2006 Michael Breuss has defended his habilitation thesis

New Master Programme:
Saarland University has started a new
Master Programme in Visual Computing.
It is the first of its kind in Germany, and it can be studied with
English as language of instruction. International applications are
very welcome.

Research Award:
On September 12, 2006 Andrés Bruhn was awarded the
Olympus Prize. This prize constitutes the
highest award given by the German Pattern Recognition Society (DAGM).

The Mathematical Image Analysis Group has been established on
December 1, 2001. Founding members were Andrés Bruhn and
Joachim Weickert. In the next half a year five new members have
joined: Thomas Brox, Bernhard Burgeth, Christian Feddern,
Pavel Mrázek, and Martin Welk.
